Bydd y Tad Jarel Robinson-Brown yn ymuno â ni ar Ddydd Iau 13 Hydref i draddodi Darlith Goffa’r Dr Margaret Thrall mewn Diwinyddiaeth a’i Arfer. Offeiriad, ysgolhaig a llenor proffwydol yw’r Tad Jarel, ac awdur Black, Gay, British, Christian, Queer: The Church and the Famine of Grace, a gyhoeddwyd i ganmoliaeth fawr y llynedd. Mae mynediad am ddim, ac nid oes angen cofrestru ymlaen llaw. Mae’r ddarlith yn dechrau am 6.30pm, ar ôl Gosber ar Gân am 5.30pm, ac fe’i dilynir gan dderbyniad gwin.

Rydym yn edrych ymlaen at ein Oktoberfest cyntaf yn y Gadeirlan ddiwedd yr wythnos hon, wrth i ni agor ein drws i groesawu ffrindiau a gwesteion i fwynhau cwrw a seidr lleol i gyfeiliant cerddorol yng Nghorff yr Eglwys. Bydd drysau’r Gadeirlan ar agor ar gyfer Oktoberfest ddydd Iau 13 Hydref 6-10pm, dydd Gwener 14 Hydref 12-10pm a dydd Sadwrn 15 Hydref 6-10pm. Bydd casgenni yn cael eu bendithio ar ôl y Gosber ddydd Iau.

Sioe Ffasiwn
Mewn partneriaeth â “Shine with Ali” mae ein Sioe Ffasiwn yn dychwelyd i Eglwys y Groes nos Sadwrn yma 15 Hydref am 7pm, gydag amrywiaeth o ddillad ac anrhegion Nadolig hefyd ar werth. Bydd arian yn cefnogi Banc Bwyd y Gadeirlan, ac mae gan Lesley Hall docynnau am £5 yr un.
Cranky Moos Coffee Club
Yn ogystal â’r ystod eang o weithgareddau cymunedol a gynhelir yn Eglwys y Groes, ac ar ben dathliad dydd Iau am 2pm o’r Cymun Bendigaid, mae’r eglwys yn cynnal clwb coffi cymunedol newydd bob dydd Mercher rhwng 10.30am a hanner dydd. Mae croeso i bawb am baned, cacen a sgwrs, a does dim tâl.

13 October lecture
Fr Jarel Robinson-Brown joins us this Thursday 13 October to deliver the inaugural Dr Margaret Thrall Memorial Lecture in Theology & Praxis. Fr Jarel is a prophetic priest, scholar and writer, and the author of Black, Gay, British, Christian, Queer: The Church and the Famine of Grace, published to great acclaim last year. Entry is free, and there is no need for prior registration. The lecture begins at 6.30pm, after Evensong at 5.30pm, and is followed by a drinks reception.

Oktoberfest
We’re looking forward to our first Oktoberfest at the Cathedral at the end of this week, as we open our door to welcome friends and guests to enjoy local beers and ciders to musical accompaniment in the Cathedral Nave. The Cathedral doors will be open for Oktoberfest on Thursday 13 October 6-10pm, Friday 14 October 12-10pm and Saturday 15 October 6-10pm. Casks will be blessed after Evensong on Thursday.
Bring & Share Lunch
Our thanks to all who contributed so generously to last week’s happy Bring & Share Lunch.
Fashion Show
In partnership with “Shine with Ali” our Fashion Show returns to Eglwys y Groes this Saturday 15 October at 7pm, with a range of clothing and Christmas gifts also for sale. Funds will support the Cathedral Foodbank, and Lesley Hall has tickets at £5 each.
Cranky Moos Coffee Club
In addition to the wide range of community activities held at Eglwys y Groes, and on top of the Thursday at 2pm celebration of the Holy Eucharist, the church is hosting a new community coffee club every Wednesday between 10.30am and 12 noon. All are welcome for coffee, cake and chat, and there is no charge.

The fourth edition of Saint Deiniol’s Cathedral in Bangor's new magazine
This fourth edition is a companion to the summer months. It offers a mixture of devotional material and practical knowledge about our life together.

The intention is to publish five issues of Buchedd Bangor over the course of the year, each coinciding with a specific period in the Cathedral’s worshipping life, and complementing a series of Sunday morning sermons that will guide us through each period.
