- Rhaid i ymgeiswyr yn y categori plant fod o dan 14 oed ar adeg ymgeisio.
- Nid oes cyfyngiad ar nifer y cofrestriadau y gall un ymgeisydd eu gwneud.
- Caiff pob cynnig ei farnu’n ddienw ac ni ddylai enw’r ymgeisydd ymddangos ar y cofnod ei hun.
- Rhaid i'r cynigion fod yn waith gwreiddiol yr ymgeisydd. Gwaherddir gwaith a gynhyrchir gan AI.

- Cyhoeddir yr enillwyr mewn digwyddiad yn Eglwys Gadeiriol Sant Deiniol ym Mangor am 6pm ddydd Sadwrn 26 Hydref, ac mae croeso i bawb.
- Rhaid i bob cerdd gael teitl a rhaid iddi beidio â bod yn hwy na 20 llinell o hyd (ac eithrio teitl). Rhaid i'r cynigion fod ar thema afonydd.
- Gellir ysgrifennu cerddi yn Gymraeg neu Saesneg - bydd y ddwy iaith yn cael eu beirniadu ar wahân, a bydd enillydd yn cael ei ddewis ar gyfer y ddwy iaith.
- Rhaid tynnu lluniau o gwrs Afon Adda (y Tarannon gynt), fel y'i diffinnir gan y map atodedig.

Poetry Competition
- Write a poem with a maximum of 20 lines on the theme of ‘Rivers’
- Poems will be displayed in an exhibition at the Tarannon Festival at St Deiniol’s Cathedral, and will be judged by Siôn Aled Owen, the Cathedral’s Canon Bard
- Winners will be announced on 26th October
- Poems in Welsh and English will be judged separately, with a children’s category for under 14s
- Entries to be submitted to josiegodfrey@cinw.org.uk by midnight on 20th October.
Photography Competition
- Take a photograph along the course of the River Adda (formerly the Tarannon)
- Much of the river flows underground, so the river itself is not required to be visible in the photo
- Entries will be displayed in an exhibition at the Tarannon Festival at St Deiniol’s Cathedral
- Winners will be announced on 26th October
- Separate categories for adults and for under 14s
- Entries to be submitted to josiegodfrey@cinw.org.uk by midnight on 20th October.
Rules
Please read all rules carefully before entering. If you have any questions please contact josiegodfrey@cinw.org.uk
- The closing date of the competitions is midnight (GMT UK time) on 20th October 2024.
- Entrants in the children’s category must be aged under 14 at the time of entering.
- There is no limit on the number of entries a single entrant can make.
- All entries are judged anonymously and the entrant’s name must not appear on the entry itself.
- Entries must be the entrant’s original work. AI-generated work is prohibited.
- By entering the competition, authors grant the Dean and Chapter of St Deiniol’s Cathedral in Bangor the right in perpetuity to publish and/or broadcast their entry
- The winners will be announced at an event at St Deiniol’s Cathedral in Bangor at 6pm on Saturday 26th October, to which all are welcome.
- All poems must have a title and must not exceed 20 lines in length (excluding title). Entries must be on the theme of rivers.
- Poems may be written in English or Welsh - the two languages will be judged separately, and a winner chosen for each language.
- 10.Photographs must be taken from the course of the River Adda (formerly the Tarannon), as defined by the attached map.
